1ST CLASS MOVING POLICY

1ST Class Moving Policy 

 

Listed below are the updated policies for 1st Class Moving 414. Please read carefully prior to your scheduled move. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or telephone. We look forward to serving you, as well as working with you, your loved ones and associates in the future.

• 1st Class Moving 414 charges in 15 minute increments, after the first hour of service. (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour) A walk through is suggested to determine an estimate for final cost.
  ​

• Moving services Include: Truck, 2-4 workers, mileage/gas (local moves only)

​​

• Time starts when we begin working at the beginning address. 

​​

• Walk throughs can be requested with a paid deposit for your move.

​​

• Time will end when finished at the final address.

​​

• We accept cash, all major debit/credit cards and cash app payments.

​​

• A nonrefundable deposit is required to schedule/secure your date and move appointment time. (Nonrefundable, no exceptions!)

​​

• Your deposit goes towards your final bill (equivalent to the first hour of work performed) and will be deducted at the end of the move.

​​

• If you are moving any appliances, they must be unhooked to provide quick & efficient moving services. Customers are required to disconnect all appliances to be moved prior to the start of the move. 

​​

• If items are not unhooked a $50 appliance fee will be added to your final bill.

​

• If a date must be rescheduled/changed a $100 fee will be charged to change your date or time. If the $100 isn't paid within 48hrs of your move your deposit will be forfeited, and you will have to reschedule. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

​

• All moving service date changes MUST be made within 48hrs before your move or deposit will be forfeited. 

​

• If any reason a scheduled move must be canceled within 48hrs, or no one shows the day of the move, the original deposit will be forfeited.

​

• Rescheduling will only be allowed based on 1st Class Moving’s availability to reschedule and secure you an available open date.

​

• All miscellaneous items must be securely packed in boxes/totes for 1st Class Moving to provide moving services. If you cannot box miscellaneous items we will provide (large) boxes at $8 per box and pack miscellaneous items for you for the cost of our packing services fee. (Please see Packing Service Fees on our website) We Will not transport “miscellaneous items” that are not in boxes.

• If we arrive at a scheduled appointment/location and there is no answer or no one available, we will wait 30 minutes and proceed to our next move. You will lose your moving time and your deposit, and have to reschedule.

​

• For safety reasons and liability reasons, under no circumstances will family or friends be allowed to get on the truck and aid/help our movers. (liability and damage being the reason)

​

• If you choose to decline having your items shrink wrapped and your items padded for your move, (i.e. in order to make the move faster) a damage liability waiver MUST be signed.

​

• We offer a 7% senior citizen discount for any customer aged 65 or older. 

​

• Please check the website for current specials and secure special pricing when booking. 

​

• No specials or discounts will be applied after the move has begun. 

​

• If anything is damaged during the move, you have 48 hours to report the damage to 1st class moving 414, via text, email, or voicemail. We will cover 100% of the damages, if insurance coverage is purchased within 5-15 business days, If a resolution has not been met by the completion of your move. 

​

• If any damages are reported after 48 hours, 1st Class Moving 414 will not be responsible for damaged items.

​

• All STORAGE/POD moves beginning at a STORAGE location must have a release of liability waiver signed, stating that 1st Class Moving is NOT responsible for any damaged items that were previously packed/loaded prior, before we can provide moving services.

​

• All Lawn mowers, snow blowers etc., fuel must be emptied before transporting items on truck.

​​

• We will not transport plants, caged animals, or fish. 

​

• TV’s over 50 inches will be charged a $50 TV handling fee. 

​

• All Piano moves will include a $60 Piano handling fee.

​

• 1st Class moving offers 1 insurance coverage option that covers damages up to $500,000 at $80.00 per move. If you decline the insurance option 1st Class Moving will not be held responsible for any damages that may occur during your move. 

​​

• If Insurance is declined, when scheduling your move, a release of liability form must be signed before the start of your move. If this form is not signed prior to the start of your move, you will forfeit your moving date, time and non-refundable deposit.
